1. Why should I use the services of A-1 Proofreading Services?

A proofreader is more than a spell checker. You may be able to use a spell checker on your computer, but a spell check can’t tell the difference between too, two, and to, or hear and here. That is just one example. A-1 Proofreading Services looks at more than just spelling. We look at paragraph structure, bibliography format, word clarity, verb tense, and many other things in an effort to make your project the best it can be.

2. What is the difference between the Proofreading Basic and Proofreading Extra plans?

The Proofreading Basic Plan corrects typos, punctuation errors, grammatical errors, and format inconsistencies. This plan does not correct bibliography or appendix errors.

The Proofreading Extra Plan examines word choice, verb tense, sentence clarity, sentence and paragraph structure, redundancies, and other things. This is the plan is for those that want their work edited for style and structure as well as proofread for grammatical errors and typos. The Proofreading Extra Plan also checks format for footnotes, endnotes, appendices, and bibliographies.

3. What are your business days/hours?

Our business days and hours are 11am-7pm Monday through Friday.

5. Do you accept assignments from outside the United States?

We accept international assignments, as long as the documents you send are in English and the work is paid for in U.S. dollars.

6. Do you charge more for rush services?

7. What is the smallest size project that A-1 Proofreading Services will accept?

We accept assignments of any size. However, we do charge a minimum of at least $15.00 for every project.

8. What do I need to do to pay for your services?

All charges must be paid before proofreading to the documents is done. Payment can be made by credit card through PayPal. No work will be sent back to clients until all work is paid for in full.

9. How will assignments be sent and received?

All work must be sent through email at assignments@a1proofreadingservices.com and also will be sent back through email.
